Insulin pen treatment

With an insulin pen you administer insulin through a thin needle into the fat in your underbelly, so not into the bloodstream. The correct places to use are the buttocks, the upper leg or the abdomen. You use the pen – looking like a fountain pen – two to four times a day.

The pen makes it easy to configure the dose. Still, you need to learn how to use the pen properly. This is why at the start of the treatment we take the time to explain the use of the pen. We take all the time you need to make sure you know just how to use the pen at home.
